TAC Talk: A Taste of Branding

An evening of insights into the world of marketing—paired with a bourbon sampling.

 

Join in a lively session led by Club Member Ed Thompson, strategist, consultant and lecturer with Concept Design I/O, who has more than two decades of experience helping a wide range of overseas brands enter and expand in the Japanese market.

His presentation will cover everything from activation campaigns and adapting brand stories to channel strategies for the market launch of a new product, illustrated with examples of campaigns that he has run over the years.

A highlight will be Thompson’s recent work with Penelope bourbon, a brand that launched in the US in 2018 and which he has successfully guided in their entry to Japan.

Following the presentation, participants will be treated to a tasting session of four varieties of Penelope’s bourbons, accompanied by an assortment of canapés.

The event is ideal not only for those in marketing but for anyone who wants to learn to effectively get the word out.
